A sitar, a band and a garden with afternoon views of Cole Valley are a recipe for music magic. We hope you will join us for the High Tide experience. The music is more than a meeting of genres; it's an emotional and spiritual journey. Each performance is designed to engage the audience and create space for people to connect on a deeper, introspective level. It invites listeners to imagine and expand their states of consciousness. With High Tide, you're not just a listener; you're a participant in a shared musical exploration.
Established by Sasha Bayan in 2019, High Tide is a fusion music project that blends the intricacies of Indian Classical music, the improvisational spirit of jazz, and the structure of Western classical music. While Sasha's sitar leads the way, the ensemble thrives on collaboration with a rotating cast of skilled musicians.

What's the music?
High Tide lives at the crossroads of Indian classical, jazz, and Western classical traditions, crafting music that is spontaneous, powerful, and deeply collaborative.
Founded by sitarist and composer Sasha Bayan in 2019, the project brings together a rotating ensemble of musicians whose interplay makes every performance singular. The music balances fire and subtlety — at times driving and electrifying, at times spacious and reflective — always inviting the audience into a shared journey.
