 h Bach’s Suite No. 1 in G Major\, one of the most beloved works ever wri
 tten for the cello—clear\, intimate\, and full of dance-like warmth. The
  program then moves into Tamar’s own music\, where the cello becomes a d
 eeply personal voice: singing\, grieving\, remembering\, and searching.\n\
 nAt the center of the program is a dialogue between past and present. Bach
 ’s music\, written over 300 years ago\, still feels immediate and human\
 ; Tamar’s own works continue that lineage through a contemporary lens\, 
 blending classical tradition\, improvisation\, and storytelling.\n\nThe pr
 ogram concludes with Bach’s Suite No. 6 in D Major\, the most expansive 
 and radiant of the cello suites. Originally written for a five-string inst
 rument\, it pushes the cello toward its highest\, most luminous register
 —ending the evening with a sense of openness\, virtuosity\, and light.
