Tchaikovsky : Waltz of the flowers from Nutcracker
Shostakovich: Trio Op. 8 No. 1
Where does this music come from?
This program brings together three composers from different musical eras and traditions.
Beethoven’s Gassenhauer Trio reflects the elegance and charm of the Classical period, while Shostakovich’s Piano Trio No. 1 introduces the passionate and expressive musical language of the 20th century. We conclude with Tchaikovsky’s beloved Waltz of the Flowers from The Nutcracker, bringing a festive touch to our December concert.
Together, these works offer a journey through different styles, emotions, and generations of classical music.
