🎻 Three Romantic masters, three unforgettable takes on chamber music. The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center brings together Johannes Brahms, Anton Arensky, and Gabriel Fauré for an evening of music brimming with expressive melodies, dramatic turns, and richly woven instrumental textures. The program opens with the sweeping cello lines and muscular piano writing of Brahms’s Cello Sonata No. 2, before moving into Arensky's atmospheric String Quartet No. 2, an unusual and beautifully sonorous work written for violin, viola, and two cellos. At the heart of the evening is Fauré’s Second Piano Quartet—a jewel of the French Romantic repertoire, balancing elegant lyricism and luminous harmonies with moments of unmistakable passion and intensity.

Featuring pianist Evren Ozel, violinist Danbi Um, violist Paul Neubauer, and cellists David Finckel and Paul Watkins, this is chamber music at its most captivating: intimate, intricate, and full of personality. Join the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Tuesday, November 17 at 7:30 PM at Alice Tully Hall, with discounted Groupmuse Nights Out tickets available for more than 50%+ off! ✨
