About

Junghoon Park, an award-winning soloist and music director, is the principal keyboardist at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he studied under Drs. Audrey Andrist and Alon Goldstein, he has performed internationally and earned recognition at prestigious competitions.

Junghoon has appeared at major events such as the National Music Festival, Wonderlic Competition, and the International Keyboard Institute Festival. He received the Special Honors Award at the 2016 Paderewski Competition and was a top-12 finalist at the 2017 New York Piano Festival. Recognized as a Rising Star in 2018 for his interpretation of Earl Wild's Etude No. 4, he continues to captivate audiences with his expressive artistry. in 2025, Junghoon became the recipient of IAMA Howard County Creative Arts Grant for performing artist, and serves as an artist in Maryland State Arts Council's touring roster.

Music

In 2025, he performed a solo recital at the prestigious Market Square Concert Series in Harrisburg, PA, and continues to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel and the 115th anniversary of Frédéric Chopin with programs featuring Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Chopin's Concerto No. 2, arranged for piano and string quartet.
