Strings of Your Heart is an intimate musical journey for voice and guitar, bringing the warmth of a private European music salon to life.
Russian-American mezzo-soprano Vita Koreneva presents a richly varied program—from Vavilov/Caccini’s luminous Ave Maria and the timeless French chanson Autumn Leaves to American standards and beloved Russian romances. Spirited solo-guitar selections add fire and contrast to an evening of nostalgia, beauty, and music that speaks directly to the heart.

Russian-American mezzo-soprano Vita Koreneva has been praised by OperaWire for her “beautifully sung” performance as La Frugola in Puccini’s Il tabarro. Her operatic repertoire includes Zia Principessa in Suor Angelica, Maddalena in Rigoletto, Adalgisa in Norma, Lyubasha in The Tsar’s Bride, and Lyubava in the U.S. premiere of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Sadko. As a concert soloist, she has performed at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Washington National Cathedral, and the State Capella Concert Hall in St. Petersburg, as well as with the Metropolitan Opera Guild and the Asian Cultural Symphony of the USA.
Born into the Russian musical tradition, Vita began her training at the Central Music School of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and continued her vocal studies in Russia and the United States. A singer, pianist, and composer who has performed in ten languages, she is especially drawn to music that crosses cultures and speaks directly to the heart. In Strings of Your Heart, Vita explores a new and intimate musical partnership between voice and guitar, weaving together classical music, French and American standards, and beloved Russian romances in the warm atmosphere of a private music salon.

Miles Johnston
Australian classical guitarist, Miles Johnston, is recongized as one of his home country’s finest young musicians forging an international career. Winner of the 2018 Adelaide Guitar Festival Competition, Miles has been praised with “exceptional control and expression” (Broadway World), and maintains an active performance schedule across Australia, the US, and abroad. Along with his brother, Ziggy, their duo “Ziggy & Miles” were winners of the 2023 Young Concert Artists (YCA) Susan Wadsworth International Auditions, becoming the first guitar duo and second guitarists to receive this prestigious award in the organisation’s 65-year history. Miles is a graduate from The Juilliard School where he received his Master or Music and Artist Diploma under the tutelage of Multiple Grammy Winner, Sharon Isbin. He currently resides in New York City and maintains an active teaching schedule in his time between concert tours.
